Dan Dorsey

Dan Tucson Green Mag - cropped shorter - websizeServing as the manager of  Sonoran Permaculture Guild and as its lead teacher and designer for the last twenty two years, I have taught workshops and courses throughout Southwest drylands, Mexico, and on Native American nation’s territory. By combining a B.S. in Forestry, masters level work in Landscape Architecture, and Permaculture, I have evolved a system of design that works well for design clients and for teaching the Permaculture Design course. I have completed two Permaculture Design courses and have been awarded a Permaculture Diploma in the field of Education, Design, and Community Service by the Permaculture Institute in Santa Fe. I am on the adjunct faculty of Prescott College and Pima Community College, having taught classes and mentored students on Permaculture, passive solar design, water harvesting, edible plants of the Sonoran desert, and sustainable site planning/design. I have managed the Sonoran Permaculture Guild certification course held each Spring in Tucson and sometimes in another Southwest city in the Fall for the last twenty two years, teaching the majority of the course content.
